Kyle Corbin is a young Barbadian English composer, arranger and orchestrator with a passion for a variety of music. He began writing orchestral compositions at the age of 15, immediately experimenting with writing for a large orchestra.

Kyle enjoys writing music to picture as well as writing “free compositions.” He grew up playing piano by ear since the age of six eventually learning to read music to make the most of his talents.

At age 11, he then learnt to play the drum kit which gave him an appreciation for rhythm in music and rhythmic writing. To this day, he regularly goes back to his drumming background to apply rhythmic techniques to his writing, even though he doesn’t perform playing on the drums anymore.  Kyle's interest for music for film stemmed from studying music composition at secondary school and then further study at A-Level. It was at this point that he decided to pursue a future in the music for film, games and TV industry.  The soundtrack that inspired him at a young age to research film music was Michael Giacchino’s soundtrack for “The Incredibles” (2004). Even as a child, Kyle was captivated by that soundtrack.  Kyle predominantly writes music for orchestras and enjoys music for epic trailers as well as writing music to picture.

Legacy, released in 2021, is Kyle’s first orchestral album and contains a range of compositional types. Examples include: a piece on mental health titled Thinking of You, music inspired by Greek mythology and music that had been put to picture.   As he began to write music for orchestras, Brian Tyler’s diverse collaboration of electronics and orchestral music truly widened his lens to the scope of film music.

After releasing a trailer track named Carnage and an epic thematic piece called Heroes, Kyle released a second album titled A New Beginning which includes a mixture of trailer music and emotive epic music.

Currently, his favourite style of music to write is trailer music; he loves just how breath-taking, grand and huge trailer music can be. His personal favourite of his own released compositions are Trif3cta, Alone Again and Skies of Fire, all of which can be previewed here on this website and are available on all digital streaming platforms.  Kyle is a huge fan of the Mission: Impossible franchise and to practice scoring, he wrote a piece of music at age 15 to the motorbike chase scene from “Rogue Nation” (The Chase by Kyle Corbin) and from that point onwards, he just kept on writing!

His background of playing piano by ear has allowed him to create melodies and chord sequences at quite an astonishing rate. This has allowed him to come up with new musical ideas quickly. As he can also read music, Kyle properly orchestrates all of his compositions after writing them. After arranging the original song Daddy I Miss You by Mark Corbin, Kyle arranged an orchestral cover of this in 2022.

At present, he is currently studying Music and Sound for Screen at University and on this course, he has learnt how to professionally orchestrate music.

Today, Kyle’s biggest inspirations in the music world are Lorne Balfe, Rok Nardin and Michael Giacchino. He enjoys taking photos of people and nature and is also a big comic book fan. His favourite comic book character is Magneto and his current favourite movie is TENET.
